Hurricane Dorian is approaching the Florida coast and is expected to make landfall over the Labor Day Weekend. As of 11am Friday, August 30th, it is still uncertain where the eye of the storm will come ashore. However, one thing is certain, many Floridians will be impacted by Dorian who is expected to strengthen to a Category 4 Hurricane prior to making landfall.
In order to serve you better, the Tanenbaum Harber offices will close at 3pm Friday August 30, 2019 and reopen when the winds have subsided it is safe to drive on our roadways. We have put our Catastrophe Event Plan into motion and you should be able to reach us by telephone and email. If you leave a message, please make sure to reach back for us if you do not receive a call back within 24 hours. If you would like to file a property insurance claim directly with your insurance company, please locate your current policy and make sure to have it available including the policy number as that will be required information. As a suggestion, to help with your claim after the storm passes, take photographs or video of your property before and after the storm. Please remove or tie down anything outdoors that can fly and become a danger to persons or property when the winds pick up. And remember, we will be here for you after the storm has passed.
